Carlton Milton Sherrill, 73, died January 23, 1980, at the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti.
Funeral service was held Saturday, January 26, at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with the Rev. Martin Capehart officiating.
He leaves his wife, Ernestine Sherrill of the home; two daughters, Ovelia Woodard of Haleyville, Ala., and Bonnie Brantley of Caruthersville; two sons, Carlton Sherrill, Jr., of Steele, and Danny Sherrill of Blytheville; a sister, Beatrice Florence of Birmingham, Ala.; nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Rick Fairly, Terry Brantley, Gary Newton, Jerry Brantley, Jack Samford, and Carl Avis.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with the Greman-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
