Funeral services for Henry W. Ballard of Flat Rock, Mich., formerly of Steele, were held February 4, 1984 at the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele. Rev. R. H. Zumalt of the Church of the Nazarene in Palacia, Texas officiated.

Mr. Ballard was born December 13, 1903 in Lynn Point, Tenn., and died January 31, 1984 in Taylor, Mich., at the age of 80.

He leaves his wife, Pauline Johns Ballard, of the home; one daughter, Louise Jones, of Granite City, Ill.; seven sons, Raymond Ballard of Kennett, Harold of Abilene, Texas, Gerald of Pontiac, Mich., Joe and Michael, both of Flat Rock, Ronnie of St. Claire Shores, Mich., and Christopher of South Gate, Mich.; One sister, Bessie Harry, of Blytheville; and 28 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Bud Nave, Billy Johns, Ollie Walton, Danny Gentry, Jackie Bruce, and Stony Milburn.

Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
