Walter Lee Bolin, Jr., a welder and a resident of this community for five years, died June 24, in Caruthersville at the age of 45. He was born October 5, 1918 and was a veteran of World War II.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 26, at the German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele. Bro. Roy Hamlett officiated. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery with German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bolin leaves his wife, Mrs. Joan Bolin; nine sons, Billy of California, Eric, William, John, James, David, Daniel, Charles and Ronald of Steele; eight daughters: Mrs. Evelyn Sales, Helen Bolin, and Jo Ann Bolin of California, and Juanita, Alma, Margaret, Phyllis, and Denise of Steele; three brothers, Cecil of Michigan, Jesse and Harold of Indiana, and a half-brother, Thomas Hawthorne of Oklahoma; six sisters, Mrs. Golda Daniels, Mrs. Betty Castleberry, Mrs. Irene Yost, and Mrs. Lorene Bolin of California and Mary and Edna Bolin of Indiana; a step-mother, Mrs. Annie Bolin of Indiana; and four grandchildren in California.
Pallbearers were James Pery, Charles Wheatley, Carl Gunn, Cecil McGee, Lois Grissom and Jackie Pery.
