Mrs. Ada Fout died at the family home, 415 East Washington street, Friday morning, after an illness of several weeks, aged 65 years. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G.W. DeReamer, and was born at Honesdale, Pennsylvania, April 10, 1854. She came to Kirksville with her parents in 1869, and her father was for several years one of the prominent business men of Kirksville. She was married to W.G. Fout May 10, 1875. She leaves the following children: Dr. George E. Fout of Richmond, Va., Mrs. Maude Shackleford of Richmond, Va., and Mrs. Clara Fout Brott, wife of E.C. Brott, Secretary and Treasurer of the American School of osteopathy. There are two grandchildren, Miss Clara Shackleford and William Fout Brott. Mrs. Fout was prominent in church and club life and for a number of years was a member and director of the Sojourners Club. The funeral took place from the home Sunday afternoon. Rev. A.F. Zeigle conducted the funeral service. Burial in Forest Cemetery.
