Mary Lou Kent, age 57, of Frankford, Mo., passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014, at her residence, surrounded by her family.

She was born June 10, 1956, in Hannibal, the daughter of William E. and Nelda Ruth Harlinger Rogers Baker.

She married Donald Gene Kent April 28, 1973, at the Salt River Christian Church.

Survivors include her parents, Bill and Ruth Baker of New London; husband, Donald Kent of Frankford; son, Ryan Kent and wife, Leisha, of Bowling Green; daughter, Alaina and husband, Joe Lawrence, of Bowling Green; eight grandchildren, Landon, Haydon, Layne, Malia, Gentry and Avila Kent, Jack and Tessa Lawrence; brother, Bruce Baker and wife, Bettye, of University City, Fla.; sisters, Lois Swon and husband, David, of New London, Pam Matson and husband, Larry, of New London and Penny Nesbitt and J.D. Overstreet of Hannibal; special aunt, Joan Klise and husband, Billy Joe, of New London; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Elizabeth Renay Kent.

Mary was born and raised in New London, graduating from Mark Twain High School. She worked as a graphic artist for Golden Eagle Distributing. She was a Christian, enjoyed reading, shopping and working on crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Ellis, Gregg Kent, James (Willie) Willis, David Houchins, Enoch Matson and Steve Houchins.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Landon, Haydon, Layne, Malia, Gentry and Avila Kent, Jack and Tessa Lawrence.
