Funeral services for Howard Lee Propst, Sr. age 85 of Reeds Spring, Missouri will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Branson United Methodist Church with Pastor Ross Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery near Silver Dollar City. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home of Branson.

He died at 7:18 am, Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Christian Health Care in Nixa, MO.

He was born on November 6, 1927 in Wyoming, Iowa, the son of Dillon E. Propst, Sr. and Ida Warren Propst. He was a farmer, a resort owner and landscaper. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He had been a resident of the area for the past 42 years.

Survivors are his four sons: Howard Propst, Jr. and wife Terry of Louisville, Kentucky, Greg Propst of Reeds Spring, Missouri, Warren Propst and wife Lisa of Nixa, Missouri, and Dan Propst and wife Tina of Hollister, Missouri, one sister: Veda Gruenhagen of Davenport, Iowa, 11 grandchildren: Jed, Jared, Sara, Tara, Nick, Austin, Bethany and her husband Kelly, Caitlyn, Brianna, Garret and Allie and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joyann Propst, two brothers: Dillon Propst, Jr and Ira Propst.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, May 17, 2013 at the funeral home.
