DAVIS—Malinda Miller was born in Van Buren county, Iowa, January 1, 1841, and died in Kirksville, Mo., Feb. 24, 1901, aged 60 years, 1 month and 23 days.
She was united in marriage to W.M. Davis, September 22, 1858. To them were born four children: Elmer E., who resides in Moberly, Mo., Joseph M., who is in South Africa, Miss Lizzie and Miss Alice, who live in Kirksville.
Mrs. Davis became a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church in early life, before even the recollection of her children, and died in its fellowship. She had been in her ususal and quite excellent health until last Thursday, when she fell on the ice, from which she sustained injuries from which she died. The funeral was held at the residence on E. Jefferson street, on Tuesday, at 2:30 o'clock, and the interment was at Llewellyn Cemetery. A large number of friends extend sympathy to the sorrowing family.
