Obituary.
Jas. W. Sharp was born Nov. 13, 1838, at Sharpsburg, Kentucky. He united with the Christian Church, Aug. 1861 at East Union, Kentucky, and has lived a consistent christian ever since. He was a soldier during the civil war on the confederate side. He was an old resident of Adair Co., having resided in Kirksville 32 years last May. He died at the residence of H. T. Billington in Clay township at 6:15 a.m., Dec. 2, 1905, aged 67 years and 19 days.
Funeral took place at the Christian Church, Kirksville, Sunday at 2 o'clock, Dec. 3rd, which was conducted by Eld. Isaac Yates. The remains were laid to rest in the Forrest cemetery.

DIED
SHARP—At the home of his brotherinlaw, H. N. Billington, of consumption, Saturday, December 2, J. W. Sharp, aged 67 years.
He was born in Sharpsburg, Ky., and came to Kirksville in 1874. He was a union soldier and served his country faithfully for four years. He was a member of the Christian church, an excellent citizen, and was highly respected by all who knew him. Funeral took place from the Christian church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Funeral service was conducted by Elder Isaac Yates.
