Mrs. Gladys Teeter's Funeral Here Today

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at two o'clock at the Davis Memorial Chapel, 115 W. Jefferson, for Mrs. Gladys Thelma Teeter, 42, who died Friday afternoon at her home, 1004 N. Olive. Last rites will be conducted by Rev. Ralph M. G. Smith, with burial in the Llewellyn cemetery.

She was the daughter of William A. and Daisy (Stribling) Forrest and was born Aug. 17, 1909 at Astor, Kan. She was married to Laurence C. Teeter on April 12, 1924. Three children were born.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Cpl. Laurence C. Teeter, Jr., two daughters, Betty Mae, of the home, and Crystal Louise, of Silvis, Ill., and two grandchildren.

Mrs Teeter was a member of the Eastern Star and White Shrine.

L. C. Teeter Dies; Formerly of Kirksville

Lawrence C. Teeter, 69, of Sedalia, formerly of Kirksville, died at 4:30 Thursday afternoon in the Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia.

The son of Lee and Fannie Hazel Rigge Teeter, he was born Aug. 29, 1907 at Lingo. On Feb 1, 1959 at Miami, Okla., he married Lettie Ilene Stattlemyre who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Lawrence Teeter, Jr. of Montgomery, Ala. and Larry Vern Teeter and Terry Lee Teeter, both of the home; two daughters, Betty Mae Teeter of the home and Crystal Friday of Chicago, Ill.; three step-children, Delores Ann Arntsen of Wyona, Minn., Linda Sue Lunsford of Trenton and Randall Dean Searbrough of Sedalia; one sister, Lucy Moore of Brookfield; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

During his early life, Mr. Teeter resided in Kirksville. Before moving to Sedalia four years ago, he lived in Mt. Vernon.

He was a member of the Cavalry Baptist Church at Brownsville, Tex. He was also a member of Adair Lodge No. 366, A.F. and A.M. of Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 in the Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Steve Hewitt of Sedalia, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Llewellyn cemetery.

The body will be at the funeral home Sunday.
