HAROLD JAMES DAVIS
Harold James Davis, 67 of Novelty, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1980 at the Lutheran Hospital in Mesa, Arizona, which he had entered on Wednesday.
Funeral services were Sunday, Nov. 9, 1980 at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Edina. Burial was in the Locust Hill Cemetery, west of Novelty.
He was born Jan. 10, 1913 in Knox County, the son of Isaac Lee and Minnie (Lawson) Davis.
He was married in Shelbyville on Sept. 3, 1932 to Loma Snow, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dean (Wanetha) Huse of Newark; four grandchildren, Ricky, Jim, and Jerry Huse and Roena Simmons; and two great-grandchildren, Brandy Huse and Arthur Glenn Simmons III. Also surviving are three brothers, Dewey Davis of rural Hurdland, Lucas Davis of American Falls, Idaho, and Luther Davis of Burley, Idaho. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lydia Marie Shearer on Mar. 5, 1961, and a brother, Smith Shelby Davis on Dec. 22, 1956. Mr. Davis lived most of his life in the Novelty community. He was a retired farmer and also had been a truck driver for a number of years.
