Married Leona Morrison
L.P. Thomason, 74 years old, of the New Survey Community died at his home Monday night following an illness of two years. He had lived in that community for the past 45 years and for twenty years was associated with the East St. Louis Cotton Oil Co., at Holland, until ill health caused him to resign this position. He served as Justice of the Peace in Virginia Township for twelve consecutive years.
He and Mrs. Thomason moved to the New Survey community from Tennessee 45 years ago.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending word from relatives, but services will be conducted Wednesday and burial will be in the Cooter Cemetery.
Mr. Thomason is survived by his wife and three sons, John and Rayburn of Pascola and Albert of the home.
