Ronald Arthur "Ron" McNatt
July 23, 1944 - November 17, 2014
Ronald A. McNatt, age 70, of Aurora, Missouri passed away on November 17, 2014.
He was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Eldon and Bettie (Ebert) McNatt on July 23, 1944.
He graduated in 1962 from Aurora High School and then attended Drury College where he met and married his wife.
Ron had a successful business career with Midwest National, MFA and Shelter Insurance Companies where he became the Sales Manager for the states of Iowa and Minnesota. Ron returned to his hometown of Aurora in 1971 where he had the privilege of joining his father as the managing partner in McNatt Real Estate and Insurance. Success in the family business soon followed as Ron earned both MFA Rookie of the Year in 1972 and later Agent of the Year. He retired in 1982 after building business and personal relatonships with much of Aurora and the surrounding communities.
Throughout his carreer he was active in many civic organizations, including the Jaycees where he served as State Treasurer. Ron was also a past President of the Aurora Booster Club and a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. Over the last several years he developed a passion for competition BBQ and traveled frequently with one of his sons to contest destinations across the country. He also was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan.
Ron was most proud of his two sons, and would often talk about their accomplishments.
His greatest joy was his grandchildren, watching and participating in their various activities gave him a great sense of pride and created memories that will be held tight and cherished forever.
His parents, Eldon and Bettie, and his brother, Richard McNatt, preceded Ron in death.
He will be deeply missed by his family.
