Evelyn M. (Mae) Wellborn, 77, of Macon, MO, passed away on September 15, 2014, at the Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon, MO.
Evelyn was born on December 12, 1936, in Brashear, MO, the daughter of George and Juanita (Cline) Crim. She was a member of Macon United Methodist Church. Evelyn and Leslie Eugene Wellborn were united in marriage on March 3, 1955 in Brashear, MO.
Evelyn is survived by one daughter, Debra Lynne Wellborn and her husband, Barney Bier of Quincy, one brother, Larry Crim and his wife Joyce of LaHarpe, IL, one sister, Charlene White and husband Steve of Lee’s Summit, MO, two grandchildren, Matthew Welborn Bier of Collinsville, IL, and Elizabeth Wellborn Bier of Columbia, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Leslie Eugene Wellborn on November 7, 1991.
Evelyn worked for a number of years for the Division of Family Services. She was a member of the Macon American Business Women’s Association, Anna Helm Chapter of the D.A.R., GFWC (General Federated Women’s Club), Lydian Club and Association of Retired Missouri Employees.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Friday, September 19, 2014, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon with Rev. Carl Knapp officiating. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery, in Kirksville, MO. Visitation will be from 10-11 am, Friday morning at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Loch Haven Nursing Home Activities.
