William Thomas Busby, 81, of Cooter, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at the Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti, Mo.
Born July 26, 1923, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., he was the son of the late William Daniel Busby and Sarah Saylors Busby.
He was also preceded in death by many brothers and sisters; one son, Willie Rinks; and two grandchildren, Peyton Helms and Heidi Rinks.
He was united in marriage to Jean Tucker Busby on May 5, 1994, in Blytheville, Ark.
He was a retired electrician and carpenter, and of the Seventh Day Adventist faith. Mr. Busby served his country in World War II.
Mr. Busby leaves his wife, Jean Busby, of Cooter; Five sons: Eugene Rinks of Micola, Mo., Billy Rinks of Capron, Ill. and Jimmy Rinks, Jackie Rinks and Tommy Busby, all of Cooter; Three daughters: Deloris Boggan of Cooter, Sheila Owens of Caruthersville, Mo., and Sarah Constant of Bertrand, Mo.; Twenty-two grandchildren; and One great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Busby were held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele, with the Rev. Jeremy Damesworth officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
Pallbearers were Steven Elliott, Robert Flowers, Dewayne Boone, Larry Boggan, Jimmy Rinks and Eugene Rinks. [Steele Enterprise, Steele, Missouri, Sep 16, 2004]
