Jack Edward Barley Sr., 67, of Searcy, Ark., died Sunday, January 27, 2002 in Searcy.
Born August 9, 1934 in Steele, Mo., he was the son of the late Clarence Barley and Nannie K. Barley. He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Joyce Poley and Zeda Jalain Barley.
He was a retired truck driver for Wal-Mart, a United States Army Veteran, a member of the First Baptist Church in Kensett, a hunter and a member of the G&L Hunting Club.
Mr. Barley leaves his wife, Charlotte Barley, of Searcy; two sons: Dennis Barley of Searcy and Brian Barley of Jonesboro, Ark.; one daughter, Carmen Baker, of Bald Knob, Ark.; one brother, Reggie Barley, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; three sisters: Christine Taylor, of Steele, Bobbie Lair, of Port Charlotte and Nedra Little of Caruthersville, Mo.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services for Mr. Barley were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at the Searcy Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
