Violet Louise Hinrichs was born May 17, 1921 at Pomona, MO, the daughter of Elgin Grant and Pearl (Tyrrell) Grant. She passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Mountain View, MO at the age of 86 years.
She was united in marriage to Herbert Henry Hinrichs on December 10, 1943 at Hardy, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elgin and Pearl Grant, her husband Herbert Hinrichs, and her niece, Lorene Moore.
She is survived by her "little girl," Linda Lewis and husband Douglas, of Mountain View, MO; two nieces, Wilma Stevenson and husband Punkie, of Mountain View, MO, and Pete Weaver and husband James, of Montier, MO; one nephew, Johnny Blankenship of Oregon; one cousin, Roland Miller of Mountain View, MO; special friends, Wanda Kentner and Roger Kentner of Texas, and Francis Baldwin of Willow Springs, MO; Lorene Moore's children, and a host of other friends and family.
Violet was a member of the Mountain View VFW Post 3009 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a master seamstress and loved making the baby clothing for Newborns in Need. Violet loved gardening and flowers and taking care of her poodle, "Buffy".
She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the Duncan Funeral Chapel in Mountain View, MO with Rev. Roger Kentner officiating. Interment was at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Duncan Funeral Home of Mountain View, MO.
