Graveside services for Vernon Robert Gauger,88,of West Plains,Missouri,will be at 2:00p.m.,Wednesday,April 7,2010,in the Veterans Section of Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.Mr.Gauger died 3:30p.m.,Sunday,April 4,2010 at his home.He was born October 26,1921,at Chicago,Illinois to Carl F.and Ernestine Gauger.On November 29,1952 he was married at Chicago,Illinois to Marilyn Paulsen.Mr.Gauger was a veteran having served during World War II with the United States Air Force 8th Division Bomber Squadron.Before his retirement,he was employed as a truck driver with American Electric.Mr.Gauger was a life time member of the Park Ridge,Illinois Elks and was a Mason for fifty years.He had been a member of the Lutheran Memorial Church and currently,was a member of St.Paul Lutheran Church of West Plains,Missouri.He is survived by his wife;Marilyn Gauger,of the family home;four sisters-in-laws,Faith Mickey,West Plains;Caroline Garner,Irene Garner and Ruby Paulsen,all of Marshall,Illinois;and many nieces and nephews.His parents,one brother,Carl GAUGER AND ONE INFANT SISTER,Regina Gauger,precede him in death.Mr.Guger will lie in state from 1:00p.m.,Tuesday until noon,Wednesday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.Memorial contributions may be made to St.Paul Lutheran Church and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Marilyn Gauger, 90, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gauger died at 3:25 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at West Vue Nursing Center.
She was born July 12, 1922, at Chicago, Illinois, to Christian Paulsen and Hazel Albright Paulsen. On November 29, 1952, she was married at Chicago, Illinois, to Vernon Robert Gauger, who preceded her in death on April 4, 2010. She retired after working for forty years from The United Methodist Publishing Co., in Park Ridge, Illinois. Mrs. Gauger was a veteran, having served in the Women's Army Corps with the United States Army, during World War II in the South Pacific; she was very proud to have served her country. She was a long time member of the Lutheran Memorial Church in Chicago, Illinois and for the past fourteen years was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, West Plains, Missouri.
She is survived by two sisters, Irene Garner, Marshall, Illinois and Faith Mickey, West Plains, Missouri; sister-in-law, Ruby Paulsen, Marshall, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband of 62 years, three sisters and their spouses, Caroline Garner and husband Leon, Virginia Jahnke, husband, Harvey, Gladys Sanders, husband Luther, two brothers, Ralph Paulsen and Carl Paulsen and one brother-in-law, Bill Garner, precede her in death.
Mrs. Gauger will lie in state from 2:00 p.m., Friday until Noon Saturday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.robertsondrago.com.
