Lee Dean Godsy, 81, of West Plains, Missouri departed this life on November 6, 2015 at his home. He was born October 5, 1934 in Hutton Valley, Missouri, the son of Hiram Andrew and Gladys Cordela (Napier) Godsy.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, infant Owen, Jack, Melvin, Paul, and Glen; and one sister, Myrtle Johnson.
He is survived by one brother, Chester Godsy, Willow Springs, MO; two sisters, Dorothy Jackson and husband, Harold, Warsaw, MO and Opal Gill and husband, Gene, Springfield, MO; special friend, Ross Lawler, West Plains, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
Lee was a member of the Church of God and attended Brandsville Church of God. He had worked in both clothing and automobile sales for many years before retiring to his farm near West Plains. He enjoyed tending the cattle, baling hay, and working the farm with his good friend, Ross.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs, MO. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Willow Springs City Cemetery. Contributions, in memory of Lee, may be made to the Koshkonong FFA. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
