Effie Goggans Barr, widow of Dalton Barr, died September 15, 1975, at the home of her daughter, Ouida Proctor, in Grenada, Ms. She was born October 12, 1906, in Rooker, Tx.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the chapel of the German-Aumon Funeral Home in Steele. The Rev. Glen Vance and the Rev. Fred Albright officiated.
In addition to her daughter, Ms. Barr leaves one son, Larry Barr, Davenport, Fla.; her mother, Meda Goggans, Steele; and two sisters, Vastie Cowley, Steele, and Ursel Woodward, Granite City. Ill.
Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services were held February 11, 1970 for Dalton P. Barr of Haines City, Fla., formerly of Steele.
Mr. Barr died in Winter Haven, Fla., February 7. He was born in Tennessee June 29, 1897.
Services were at the Chapel of the German Funeral Home in Steele with the Rev. James F. McCrary officiating.
Mr. Barr leaves his wife, Mrs. Effie Goggans Barr of Winter Haven; a daughter, Ouida Proctor of Grenada, Miss.; and a son, Larry Barr of Haines City.
Pallbearers were Oscar Whittington, Jr., Joe King, Claude Brumley, Sherman Cothern, Carl Gunn and Frank Collins.
The original German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge.
