Funeral services will be held here this (Thursday) afternoon at the Baptist Church for Parker Stanfield who died at Mt. Vernon Tuesday from tuberculosis. He had been ill for some time. The services will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. J.W. Cunningham, and interment is being made in the Mt. Zion cemetery.
Mr. Stanfield, who was 52 years of age, had lived here for appoximately 18 years, being a native of Hardin County, Tenn., until his retirement he was a cotton man.
He is survived by two sons, Odis Stanfield of Savannah, Tenn., and Otho Stanfield and family of Steele, also one brother and two sisters and a number of other relatives and friends.
