George A. Lamb, former resident of this city and a former Pemiscot county treasurer, died suddenly Monday in Lake Charles, La. of a heart attack. It was reported here that Mr. Lamb was preparing to go with his daughter, Mrs. Pauline Bailey, to her home in Houston, Texas and suffered the fatal seizure in her car as they were driving out of Lake Charles.
After leaving here the family lived in Steele for several years, while Mr. Lamb was connected with a bank there. He had lived in Lake Charles for several years.
He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. W.D. Teroy of this city.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church in Steele yesterday (Thursday) afternoon, with burial in Mount Zion cemetery.
