Waldo Francis Heath, 81, West Plains, died May 24, 2009, at the North Village Park Nursing Home, Moberly, MO. He was born Feb. 21, 1928 at West Plains, MO, to Francis Waldo and Lyda Heath. On May 21, 1949, he was married at Salem, AR, to Margaret Rachel Wheeler who preceded him in death on Sept. 27, 2001.
Mr. Heath was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army.
Before his retirement, he was employed at the Willow Springs Schools as a bus mechanic and enjoyed working on cars.
Mr. Heath attended the Victory Family Worship Center, West Plains.
He is survived by four children, Larry Heath, wife, Donna, Willow Springs, MO; Bobby Heath, wife, Janet; James Heath; and Amber Carlock, husband, Craig, all of West Plains, MO; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, James Heath, state of Ohio; one sister, Aileen Bentley, West Plains, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents; wife; one daughter, Connie Mae Heath; and five sisters preceded him in death.
Graveside services were May 28, 2009, at the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. [Howell County News]
