Clarence B. Sandlin, 89, died September 22, 1988 at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett. Born Sept. 12, 1899 in Maury City, Tenn., he was the son of Almath and Virginia Arnett Sandlin. He was a retired farmer and World War I veteran. He was a member of Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by one son, Otis Sandlin of Vicksburg, Miss.; And two nephews, W.A. Carter of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Millard Carter of Steele.
Services were Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. at John W. German Funeral Home chapel in Steele, the Rev. Harold Thompson Sr. and the Rev. Dave Biggs officiating, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tom Yandell, Ronnie Yarbrough, Luke Howell, Reginald Watkins, Jessie Carter and Kelley Joe Rhodes.
