Gordon Davis Boyd, 81 of Cabool, Missouri, formerly of Willow Springs, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Harry S. Truman VA Hospital, in Columbia, Missouri. He was born on August 29, 1934, to Richard Davis Boyd and Josephine (Gum) Boyd in West Plains, Missouri.
Gordon was united in marriage to Vivian Joann Perez on December 2, 2012 in Cabool, Missouri.
Gordon is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Josephine Boyd, and one sister, Susan Sheets.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian of the home; his son, Sammie Boyd of Los Angeles, California; one daughter, Barbara Ann; one sister, Jerry Hollis of Thomasville, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
While living in Willow Springs, Gordon was a faithful Lion’s Club member for many years. He had worked for many car dealerships in the area transporting vehicles to and from local dealerships. Gordon was also a Korean Veteran. Gordon loved to fish and hunt and loved spending time with his friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him especially his best friend Kern Foster and family.
Graveside Services will be held at a later date in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.
