Leroy Earnest Crum, born September 16, 1920 in Tippah County, Miss., died July 6, 1966 in an automobile accident south of Steele.
Mr. Crum was 45. He was a veteran of World War II and was a farmer.
Funeral services were held July 8, at the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter, Rev. Joe Smith of Cooter officiating.
Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery, with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Sue Wells of Blytheville and Miss Barbara Crum of Memphis. He also leaves a son, Gary Wayne Crum of Steele; two brothers, Earlie Crum of Walnut, Miss., A.D. Crum of Ripley, Miss., and a sister, Mrs. Retha Dees of Corinth, Miss.
He leaves two grandchildren, Dona Kay Wells, and Donald Raymond Wells, II.
Pallbearers were Jerry Franklin, Jesse Edwards, James Pery, Bobby Martin, O.G. Hitchens, and Elvis Robinson.
