Pauline L. Bailey was born February 18, 1905 at Caruthersville, Mo., and died July 8, 1983 at Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville. She was 78.

The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Lamb, she was united in marriage to Oscar Bailey in Steele in December, 1925. To this union were born a son and daughter. Her husband preceded her in death March 31, 1970, and her daughter, Brenda, died June 8, 1977.

She leaves a son, Robert D. Bailey of Steele; five grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 13, 1983 at 3:00 at the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele, with Rev. Jim Doyle officiating.

Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery near Steele, with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were John Holt, Jerry Lovelace, Gene Wingfield, Clarence Poteet, Herbert Ketchum, and Jack Brooks
