WALTER L. KIMBLEY DIES AT NOVELTY SATURDAY;
FUNERAL THERE MONDAY
Walter L. Kimbley of Novelty, 75 years old, died at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Aug. 30, 1952, at his home there after a lingering illness following a stroke a year ago in June.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Novelty. Burial was in the Novelty Cemetery. Surviving are Mrs. Kimbley and two children by a former marriage, Wilbur P. Kimbley of Leavenworth, Kansas, and Vera, Mrs. Cecil Yetter of Eaton, Colorado; and four grandchildren. There are left also a brother and a sister, Elmer Kimbley of Leonard, and Sadie, Mrs. Fred Murray of Novelty.
Mr. Kimbley, one of the five children of Benjamin and Martha Kimbley, was born Oct. 18, 1876 in Novelty, where he grew up. He was married Sept. 3, 1899 to Miss Ethel Ramsey and they were the parents of two children who survive. Mr. Kimbley was married again, his second marriage being to Miss Maxine McCarty June 29, 1918, and she survives.
In 1929 they moved to Edina and Mrs. Kimbley and the last Miss Dee Walters had a restaurant for a time in the Walters building here on S. Main St. Mr. Kimbley was a member of the Methodist church and was active in the church work until striken more than a year ago.
