Lee Edward Rogers, 54, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Friday morning, May 12, 2006, in Kirksville.

The son of Carroll Leroy and Anna Lois (Newkirk) Rogers, he was born June 4, 1951 in Kirksville.

Lee was raised in Novelty, Missouri, where he attended grade school and was a graduate from Knox County High School with the class of 1969. Lee then attended Northeast Missouri State Teachers College in Kirksville.

Lee enjoyed working on the family farm and riding horses. He also had a great love for music. He was a member of the Novelty Christian Church.

Lee is survived by his parents, Carroll and Anna Rogers of Kirksville, Missouri; one brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Rhonda Rogers of Nacogdoches, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bud Leykamp of Glenallen, Virginia; two nephews, Mark Leykamp of Nashville, Tennessee and Todd Leykamp of Richmond, Virginia; two nieces, Leslie Danford of Charlotte, North Carolina and Robyn Rogers of Nacogdoches, Texas as well as one uncle, Tommy Newkirk and wife Barbara of Senora, Texas, one aunt, Kathrine Blair of Fort Smith, Arkansas and several cousins. His grandparetns preceded Lee in death.
