Services for Cecil McGee, 72, formerly of Steele, who died Sept. 30th, were held Oct. 2nd at the Assembly of God Church in Steele with the Rev. Roy Hamlett and the Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery with German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
He was born Dec. 11th, 1904 at Gibson County, Tenn., the son of the late Eafley and Nancy Koffman McGee. He was an employee of the South Pemiscot School System of Steele before moving to Leachville, Ark.
Survivors include his wife of Leachville; four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Willoughby of Blytheville, Ark., Miss Sue McGee of Cape Girardeau, Mrs. Bonnie Rice of Fort Campbell, Ky. and Mrs. June Strong of Farmington; eight sons, Claude McGee of Cape Girardeau, Virgil and Tommy McGee of Blytheville, Ark., Billy McGee of Millington, Tenn., David and Jimmy McGee of West Memphis, Ark., Harold McGee of Fort Benning, Ga. and Jackie McGee of Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Elouth Orman of Tipton, Tenn., Mrs. Ada Morgan of Munford, Tenn. and Mrs. Lillie Blankenship of Milan, Tenn.; two brothers, Robert McGee of Lakeland, Fla. and Carl McGee of Tampa, Fla.; three step-children, Mrs. Annete Ridge of Steele, Evone Gooch of St. Louis and Olan Gooch of Viola, Ark.; 24 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
