Mr. Printy P. Byrd died suddenly at his home last Friday at 5:00 a.m. He had been in failing health since suffering a stroke about seven years ago. He was 69 years, 3 months, 21 days of age.

Mr. Byrd was born August 11, 1891 near Cooter and lived in Pemiscot County most of his life. He lived near Poplar Bluff for the past 13 years. He was a carpenter until ill health forced him to retire.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Frinney Byrd of Poplar Bluff; a son, Charles P. Byrd, San Pablo, California; three daughters, Mrs. Estell Naile of Elaine, Ark., Mrs. V.M. Jones of Hornersville and Mrs. Joe E. Samford of Steele; two step-children: Mrs. Eddie Hanf of Detroit, Mich., Paul Sternaman of Kennett; 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Lula Curry White of Steele.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.O. Miles of Holland Baptist Church, assisted by Bro. Cleo Blue, minister of the Steele Church of Christ.

Pallbearers were C.V. Campbell, Floyd Wagster, H.M. McClure, Claris Gilliland, Homer Wilson and Paul Cooper.

Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery with German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
