Cecil Clay Crocker was killed in an automobile accident last Wednesday. He was 36.
Mr. Crocker was born January 3, 1930 at Tremont, Miss. He was united in marriage to Gladys Jackson in Caruthersville April 7, 1947.
Services were held Friday, July 8 at the Church of God in Holland. Bro. Charles Faught of Steele officiated.
Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery, John W. German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Gladys Crocker of Steele; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ann Rice, of Steele and Mrs. Charlene Terry of Blytheville; three brothers, Victor Crocker, Willie Crocker and Elbert Crocker, all of Holland; three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Perry of Steele, Mrs. Elodie Scott of Caruthersville and Mrs. Louise Crossno of Senatobia, Miss.; and one granddaughter, Dianne Rice.
Pallbearers were John Williamson, D.W. Shaw, Hugo Neal, Henry Jarred, Floyd Carter and Bub Northern.

Gladys Crocker, 74, of Steele, died Sunday, May 22, 2005 at the Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.
She was born September 10, 1930 in Red Bay, Ala., to the late Tom and Ethel Creekmore Jackson. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Opal Miller, Olean Box, Ruth Pierce and four brothers, Bud Jackson, Lonnie Jackson, Jasper Jackson and Cleat Jackson.
She was united in marriage April 7, 1947 in Caruthersville to the late Cecil Clay Crocker.
Mrs. Crocker leaves two daughters, Charlene Dorris and husband, Jerry, of Steele and Mary Ann Miller and husband, Terry, of Fulton, Miss.; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one nephew, Grady Jackson of Hamilton, Ala., and one sister, Dorothy Thorne and husband, Richard, of Steele.
Funeral services for Mrs. Crocker were held Wednesday, May 25, at the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele with Bro. Jason Anderson officiating. Burial took place in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele.
Pallbearers were Gene Allard, Jerry Robinson, Allan Pierce, Eddie Rogers, Mark Yancey and Joe Wayne Martin.
John W. German Funeral Home was in charge of services.
