Dock Martin Weaver, retired carpenter died at the home of a son in Biloxi, Miss., on September 13, 1962.

Born in Savannah, Tenn., Mr. Weaver was 70 years, 9 months and 15 days of age.

Services were held from the First Baptist Church in Steele on Monday, Sept 17, 1962 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. James F. McCrary and Rev. Maynard Weaver conducting the service.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, John W. German Mt. Zion Chapel of Steele in charge of services.

Mr. Weaver leaves his wife, Mrs. Minnie O. Weaver of Steele; three sons, Rev. Maynard Weaver of Augusta, Ga., Robert V. Weaver of Steele, and Dock Mr. Weaver, Jr., of Biloxi, Miss.; four daughters, Mrs. Carrie Ellis of Gilbert, Ariz., Mrs. Clara Strothers of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Katherine Doherty of Auburn, Ind., and Mrs. Virginia Adkinson of Waynesville, Ind.; two brothers, J.H. Weaver of Tallahassee, Fla., and M.E. Weaver of Pine Bluff, Ark.

He leaves 22 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

Pall bearers were Howard McCollum, Clarence Poteet, Jack Fortner, Cooper Mathis, Ollie Barnes, and Sam Ellis.

Funeral services for Minnie L. Weaver were held Tuesday, May 30, 1972, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Steele with the Rev. Fred Albright and the Rev. James F. McCrary officiating.
Mrs. Weaver was born March 31, 1894 at Red Bay, Ala., and died May 27 at the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville at the age of 78.
Her husband, Dock Weaver, preceded her in death September 13, 1962.
She leaves three sons, the Rev. Maynard Weaver, Augusta, Ga., Robert Weaver, Campbell, Mo., and Doc Weaver, Jr., Houston, Tex.; four daughters, Carrie Ellis, Gilbert, Ariz., Clara Strothers, Houston, Tex., Katherine Doherty, Steele, and Virginia Adkinson, Houston; one sister, Hannah Garrison, Memphis, 23 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with the John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
