Services for Bessie Mae Stout were held Jan. 24 in the chapel of the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti with the Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Mrs. Stout died Jan. 20, 1982, in Owosso, Mich. She was 85.
Mrs. Stout was born in Fairfield, Ill., on Oct. 11, 1896. In 1912 she married Edgar Stout in Tyler. He and three children preceded her in death.
Surviving are six sons, C.W. of Hayti, Edward of Burton, Mich., Hoyt of Mt. Victory, Ohio, Billy of Flushing, Mich., Ralph of Owosso, and Robert of West Liberty, Ky.; three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Archileta of Fairfield, Calif., and Mrs. Emogene Crevison and Mrs. Neoma Odom of Phoenix; and 42 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
