Sloan Cemetery was once property belonging to David E Sloan. (See the entry for him under Sloan Cemetery). There are other headstones around his, but the others are illegible. His wife and daughters are buried in Forest-Lewellyn Cemetery which is adjacent and may well have part of the Sloan farm when Kirksville was first settled. According to property records, these are two separate cemeteries however.
