Lynn C. Balvin passed away after a lengthy illness on April 3, 2009, at her Willow Springs Home, surrounded by her family. Born on June 13, 1942, to Leo K. and Lillian M. (Cornelius) Mulholland, in Kansas City, Kan., she was 66 years old.
Lynn spent most of her career in the electronics field working for a computer company in Dallas, Texas, where she lived for many years. Lynn had many artistic talents, which included hair styling, painting portraits, making jewelry, crochet, embroidery and sewing. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her sense of humor and wit will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years, John G. Balvin; brother Lee J. Balvin; and a sister-in-law Sandy Mulholland.
She is survived by her son, John L. Balvin and his partner Carol Fulton of Columbia, Mo.; sisters, Jackie Ogden and her husband Jamie of Willow Springs; Kay Johnson of Allen, Texas; Judy Peske and her husband Keith of Wentzville, Mo.; nine nieces, two nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
A private family graveside service was held on Monday, April 13, 2009, at the Willow Springs City Cemetery in Willow Springs.
Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home.
