Ella died Monday morning September 24, 2007 at the Kabul Nursing Home in Cabool, MO. She was born August 15, 1921 at Clear Springs, Texas County, MO. She was the daughter of George Thomas Bradford and Maudie Belle Combs Bradford.
She received her elementary education at Clear Springs and graduated from the Willow Springs High School in 1942. She was married to James Arthur Sherrill, September 2, 1944 at Salem, AR. She worked at the Boeing Air Craft in Wichita, KS & also worked 24 years at Rawlings Mfg., in Willow Springs, MO. She was a Charter member of the Willow Springs Church of Christ, where she taught the beginning Sunday School class for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Arthur, an infant son, her parents, one infant sister and a brother, Gene Bradford.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Ann Pigg and (Richard, Sr.) and Jacqueline Kay Holmes and (Ralph) all of Jackson, TN; five grandchildren, Angela Doi and (Derwin) of Honolulu, HI; Richard E. Pigg Jr. of McDonough, GA; Robert M. Pigg and (Heather) of Conroe, TX; Ryan J. Pigg of St. Petersburg, FL; and Joe Kelly Holmes of Jackson, TN; four great granddaughters, Sierra and Jazmine Doi and Taylor and Emily Pigg; two sisters, Ellen Rakestraw of Willow Springs, MO; May Linderer of Gravette, AR; three brothers, Woodrow Bradford and wife, Marie, of Wilder, Idaho; George Emmett Bradford and wife, Flora Beth, of Summerville, MO; Elmer Bradford and wife, Yvonne, of Tyrone, MO. Ella also is survived by host of nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Church of Christ in Willow Springs, MO with Rev. Lynn Hixon and Rev. John Colbert officiating.
Interment was in the Willow Springs City Cemetery under the Care of the Bradford Funeral Home.
