"The Lord is my shepherd"
Funeral services for Oneder Bell Smith were conducted Friday, October 25, 1974, at 3:00 p.m. at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rev. Harold Thompson of Blytheville officiated, assisted by the Rev. Burl Gill of Forrest City, Ark., and the Rev. V. Carl Hickman of Steele.
Ms. Smith died October 23 at Forrest Memorial Hospital at Forrest City. She was born September 4, 1885, in Tennessee. She was the widow of the late Daniel Noah Smith.
Ms. Smith leaves three daughters, Ms. Radie Wilferd of Steele, Verna Poole, Forrest City and Sarah Knuckles, West Memphis; three sons, Roscoe Smith, St. Louis, Cardinal Smith, Blytheville, and Harry Smith, Ferguson, Mo.; one sister Bertha Gordon, Waynesboro, Tn.; two brothers, Bill Turnbo, East Prairie, and Kenny Turnbo, Waynesboro; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
