"Jack William Rogers of Anderson, Missouri, son of the late Homer William "Polly" and Beulah (Chandler) Rogers, was born on June 28, 1924 in McDonald County, Missouri. He departed this life tragically on Sunday, November 12, 2006 at his home in Anderson, Missouri, at the age of eighty-two years.

Jack was a lifelong resident of McDonald County. On June 3, 1945 in the Banner Church of the Nazarene north of Anderson, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Vera Elizabeth Clark and to this union two sons were born. For over twenty-five years Jack was employed by Teldyne in Neosho, Missouri as a machinist. He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior early in his life and was a member of the Banner Church of the Nazarene. Jack was very active in the McDonald County fair and was the 2nd person to be inducted to the fair board. He enjoyed people and visiting at the senior center in Neosho, Missouri. Jack lived everyday to the fullest; he took great pleasure in traveling, fishing and in a simple conversation. He never knew a stranger and will be remember fondly by all who knew him.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Vera Elizabeth Rogers, of the home; two sons, Ron Rogers and wife, Connie, of Goodman, Missouri and John Rogers of Neosho, Missouri; three grandchildren, Erin Rogers of Wichita, Kansas, Kimberly Hamilton and husband, Christopher, of Houston, Texas and Kyle Rogers and wife, Jill, of Neosho, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Dakahri Saunders and Lauren Wasson; two brothers, Jimmy Rogers of Anderson, Missouri and George Rogers of Goodman, Missouri; a sister, Madline Hall of Goodman, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends."
