Funeral services for Joseph Harold Kinnision, 49, of Rives, were held Monday, June 17, 1968 at John W. German Funeral Chapel. Mr. Truman House officiated.
Burial was at Mount Zion Cemetery with John W. German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Harold Martin, Thomas Payne, Alton Payne, Mervil Jones, Zelmer Lindsey and Donald Weaver.
He was born May 8, 1919 and died June 15, 1968 at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti. He had operated a grocery store in Rives for the past 11 years and was also engaged in farming. He was the son of the late Joseph B. Kinnision and Carrie Lancaster Kinnision. He was married to Mazle Jackson January 22, 1938.
Mr. Kinnision leaves his wife, Mazle, of Rives; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Lawson, La Porte, Ind.; and Mrs. Barbara Decker, Rives; one son, Carl Leon Kinnision, Rives; his mother, Mrs. Carrie Kinnision of Rives; two brothers, Edmon Kinnision, Kennett, and Richard Kinnision, Gobler; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Ford, St. Louis; Mrs. Louise Ethridge, Bridgeman, Mich.; and Mrs. Dorothy Morgan, Gobler; and nine grandchildren.

Mazle "Dude" Kinnision, 80, of Rives, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001 at her home.

Born Nov. 21, 1921, in the Samford community near Holland, Mo., daughter of the late Henry and Eva Tuberville Jackson, she owned and operated a grocery store in Rives for many years. She was a member of the Rives Church of Christ.

On June 22, 1938, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Joseph Harold Kinnision, who preceded her in death June 15, 1968. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Joe and Jerry Kinnision; a daughter, Alice Lawson and a sister, Ronie Short Scott.

Survivors include a son, Carl Kinnision of Rives; a daughter, Barbara Decker of Rives; two sisters, Nona Hicks of Illinois and Mable Bray of St. Peters, Mo.; 10 half-brothers and sisters; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, in the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele with Adam Broom and Joe Springer officiating.

Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.

Pallbearers were Stuart Worrell, Larry Payne, Travis Payne, Larry Conley, Jimmy Morgan and Jamie Morgan.
