Funeral services for Phyllis Jean Taylor, 25, were held August 4 at First Baptist Church in Steele. Rev. Armon Scrum of Cardwell and Rev. James F. McCrary officiated.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery with John W. German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Taylor was born May 2, 1943 in Steele the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lavell Bray and she died August 2, 1968 at Dunklin County Memorial Hospital in Kennett.
Her death was attributed to complications resulting from injuries received in a fall. Her leg was broken when struck by a falling antenna.
She was united in marriage to Wayne Taylor on June 28, 1963 in Micola.
She leaves her husband, Wayne Taylor; two sons, Mark and Scott; and one daughter, Deanna, all of the home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lavell Bray, Steele; three brothers, Kenneth Stewart, U.S. Army, Germany; Frank Stewart, Mayfield, Ky.; Ronnie Bray, Steele; two sisters, Mrs. Vivian Heathcock, Novi, Mich.; and Mrs. Ruth Ann Hicks, East St. Louis, Ill.; her grandmother, Mrs. Lula McClanahan, Steele; and her grandfather, G.W. Bray, of Steele.
