Funeral service was held Sunday, January 14 at the Rives Missionary Baptist Church for Herman Emory Pritchett, 58. The Rev. T.W. Gamble officiated.
Mr. Pritchett was born October 4, 1920, at West Frankfort, Ill., and died January 11 at the Veterans Hospital in Memphis.
He leaves his wife, Mildren Sharp Pritchett of the home; two daughters, Patty Lawson of New Carlisle, Ind. and Willene Driskill of Burdette, Ark.; four sons, David Pritchett of Kennett, William Pritchett of Hornersville, Glenn Pritchett of Steele, and Ricky Pritchett of the home. He also leaves three sisters, Ada Bell Bray of Rives, and Pauline Gaskin and Gladys Russom, both of Caruthersville; five brothers, Sam Pritchett of Caruthersville, J.C. Pritchett of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Robert Pritchett of Rives, James Pritchett of Cedar Hill, Mo. and Junior Pritchett of Vinton, Iowa. He leaves eight grandchildren.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
