Connie Moore, age 55, of Joplin, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2007, surrounded by her family and friends after a two year courageous battle with ALS.

Connie was a 1969 graduate of Central High School and a 1999 graduate of Crowder College. She worked as a nurse practitioner for Planned Parenthood.

Connie was preceded in death by her father, Owen Jesse Oberbeck; mother, Lodema Ruth Clark; brother-in-law, Lowell Childress; and stepfather, Bill Clark.

Survivors include lifelong friend, Jennifer Burken; two children, Ralph Moore and wife, Kelley, and Lea Ann Moore; grandchildren, April Jennings, Katlyn Moore, Lindzee Moore and Karley Holt-Allen; sisters, Donna Childress, Doris and Tom Farmer, Linda and Andy Bishop, Lois Wallace, Sherry Oberbeck, Joann and Jack Rinker, Janet Bennett, Dorrie Mizell and Billie and Jimmy Tannehill; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of special friends.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 1, at Greenlawn East Funeral Home, Springfield. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Planned Parenthood or ALS Association.
