Johnny Lynn Stegall, 51, of Steele passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark. He was born Dec. 14, 1963, in Blytheville to Linda Watkins Stegall and the late Joe Hoyt Stegall. He was a member of the Steele Church of Christ and a graduate of South Pemiscot High School. During his life, he was employed in the video cable industry, worked in a steel mill and was a member of the local police and fire department.
Mr. Stegall was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Wilbur and Effie Stegall and Virgil and Odie B. Watkins.
Survivors of Mr. Stegall include one son, Zachary Stegall; one daughter, Madison Stegall; one sister, Karen Stegall Blair, and her husband, William; one niece, Kim Gatewood Washburn, and her husband, John; two great-nephews, John Taylor Washburn and Jake Washburn, and many relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Stegall were held Friday, Jan. 16 at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with friends and family conducting the services. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Patrick, Jeremy Yates, Jimmie Dye, Doug Anderson, Daniel Nicholson and Chris Bivins.
John W. German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
