Beryl Eugene Driskill, 76, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015, in Steele. He was born Jan. 4, 1939, in Flint, Mich., to the late Clarence Jack and Lucille Young Driskill. He was united in marriage to Linda Schrimsher on Nov 8, 1958, in Kennett. They were married for 56 years. He served his country in the United States National Guard. He worked for Noranda for many years and was a part owner with CRST Trucking.
Mr. Driskill was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dale and Gerald Driskill.
Survivors of Mr. Driskill include his wife, Linda; one daughter, Tammi Graue, and her husband, Jamie, of Hayti; one son, Rick Driskill, of St. Charles, Mo; six grandchildren, Josh Driskill, and his wife, Laura, of Gobler, Derrick Driskill, of St. Louis, Evan Driskill, of Nashville, Colton Bryant, of Hayti, C.J. Driskill, of St. Charles and Lindsey Bryant, f Hayti; two great-grandchildren, Cannon and Jett Driskill, and one sister, Diane Pullam, of Niceville, Fla.
Funeral services for Mr. Driskill were held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 13 at Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Funderburk officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Pallbearers were Wes Cannon, Jonathan Simmons, Jerry Graham, Phillip Laden, Dewayne Williams and Dwight Blankenship.
Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
