Clifton Eutah Forsythe, 78, of Cooter passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti. He was born to the late Holford Buddy and Ruby Lumsden Forsythe on Sept.15, 19036, in Tyler. He was united in marriage to Shirley McCollum on Oct. 15, 1960, at the Tyler Baptist Church in Tyler, Mo.
Mr. Forsythe attended Cooter schools and graduated high school in California. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked in the chemical industry with Terra Chemical Company. Fishing and baseball were his favorite pastimes. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Mr. Forsythe was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Dale Dewayne Forsythe, Roger Dale Forsythe and Danny Lynn Forsythe.
Survivors of Mr. Forsythe include his wife, Shirley; one daughter, Carla Franklin; one granddaughter, Emily Franklin; two brothers, Roy Forsythe and his wife, Wanda, and Troy Forsythe, and his wife, Dixie; three sisters, Joyce Defoe, and her husband, Jim, Mary Franklin and Alma Foumier, and multiple nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Forsythe were held Tuesday, April 14 at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Rev. Brooke Martin, Rev. James Riley and Rev. Paul Strong officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeffery Forsythe, Cecil Riley, Jonathan Forsythe, Donnie Riley, Stephen Forsythe and Edward Forsythe.
John W. German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
