Two small children of this vicinity died over the week end from diphtheria. They were Linnie Frances Pyke of near Steele, and Frances Inmon of No. 9 community.
Linnie Frances Pyke died Saturday in Walls Hospital in Blytheville. She was age 3 years, 11 months, 21 days, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Goldie Riley Pyke of near here. Besides the parents she is survived by three sisters, Ethel, Beatrice and Edith Faye, three brothers, Russell, Otis and Dallas, and grandmother, Mrs. Lou Pyke.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the German Undertaking Co. chapel by Bro. Ira Brtice. Interment was made in Mount Zion Cemetery.
