Funeral services for Grover Clark, of Cooter, who died suddenly last Wednesday, June 3, 1942, in a doctor's office in Holland while waiting for his arrival, were held Thursday, at the Cooter Baptist Church by Rev. O.J. Chastain, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Blytheville. Burial was made in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Clark, a World War veteran, had returned home two weeks preceding his death, from the Veteran's Hospital in Memphis where he was treated for some time. Death was attributed to a blood clot near the brain.

Mr. Clark, a mechanic, had lived at Cooter for seven years. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 88, of Pemiscot County. He was born at Alamo, Tenn., and was 46 years old.

The survivors include the wife, Mrs. Jessie Clark; mother, Mrs. Dick Burk of Alamo, Tenn.; three brothers, Dodson, Roy and Perry Clark of Alamo, and three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Kail, of Bells, Tenn., Mrs. Ruby Rogers of Gadsden, Tenn., and Mrs. Dee Roberts of Alamo. His father, J. H. Clark preceded him in death 13 years ago.
