Funeral services for Mrs. Leda E. Johnson were held Friday, June 15, at 4:30 p.m. at The John W. German Funeral Home in Steele. Rev. Jim Doyle officiated.
Mrs. Johnson was born May 24, 1892, near Steele and died June 11, 1984, at 92. She lived most of her life in the Denton community before moving to Caruthersville. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Caruthersville.
The daughter of the late Jim Prim and Mary Nunnery Prim, she was united in marriage to Don Johnson at Denton in July of 1932.
She leaves one son: Paul Pharris of Warren, Mich.; Three nieces: Mrs. Eva Caudle of Caruthersville; Mrs. Evelyn Tally of Southaven, Miss.; and Mrs. Hattie Biggs of Steele; Two grandchildren: Michael Pharris of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Miss Carol Pharris of Houston, Tex.; and Three great-grandchildren: Cynthia, John Michael, and Daniel Allen Pharris, of Sterling Heights, Mich.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Steele, with The John W. German Funeral Home in charge.
