Funeral services for Norman Edward Gunnels were held August 31, 1979 at the Missionary Baptist Church, Rives, Mo.
Mr. Gunnels was born July 21, 1927, in Portageville, Mo., and died August 28, 1979 at his residence in Portageville.
He was 52 years, one month and 7 days of age.
Rev. Wayne Woods conducted the 2:00 p.m. service.
Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery, German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gunnels leaves his wife, Stella sharp Gunnels of the home; two daugthers: Connie and Delora Gunnels, both of the home; two sons, Larry Gunnels of St. Louis and Stanley Gunnels of Tampa, Fla.
He leaves two sisters: Regena Boston of Dallas, Texas and Marolyn June Rodde of St. Louis; three brothers: Harold Gunnels of St. Louis; Aubrey and Daymon Gunnels, both of Bolivar, Mo.
He leaves seven grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Elmer Davis, James Shields, Robert Pritchett, Willard Jackson, Jimmie Staggs and Everett Martin.
