Funeral services for Walter E. Mooney were conducted November 4, 1976 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of German-Aumon Funeral Home. Rev. S.J. Lyons officiated, with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Mooney died November 2, 1976 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

He was the son of the late Mark and Beadie Jones Mooney.

He leaves two sisters: Mrs. Miranda Hall of Caruthersville and Mrs. Lillie Tharpe of St. Peters, Mo.

A former resident of Cooter, he was a veteran of World War I. Pallbearers were Shon Pollard, Joe Ricketts, Bud Davis, Charlie Stevens, Charlie Lacer, and Don Hickman.
